A psychopath that lies will "know" he is lying regardless of their emotional guilt/remorse. Side issue for this topic: It would be interesting to know whether a DLC format would be more effective than PLCs with psychopaths...... Since the age of fifteen there has been a disregard for and violation of the right's of others, those right's considered normal by the local culture, as indicated by at least three of the following: A. Repeated acts that could lead to arrest. B. Conning for pleasure or profit, repeated lying, or the use of aliases. C. Failure to plan ahead or being impulsive. D. Repeated assaults on others. E. Reckless when it comes to their or others safety. F. Poor work behavior or failure to honor financial obligations. G. Rationalizing the pain they inflict on others. 2. At least eighteen years in age. 3. Evidence of a Conduct Disorder, with its onset before the age of fifteen. 4. Symptoms not due to another mental disorder. IP: Logged

skipwebb Member	posted 06-13-2012 04:31 PM Barland, Gordon and Raskin, David (1974) Psychopathy and detection of deception in criminal suspects: No significant differences in total scores of the two groups (-7.9 for psychopaths, -9.0 for non psychopaths) No difference between detectability of the two. 77 criminal suspects administered field polygraph tests for defense and prosecuting attorneys using ZCT. The Pd scale and K scale of the MMPI were administered to each. of 56 DI exainees, 15 highest and lowest put in separate groups. Highest 15 were 2% of general population. The other 15 were in the bottom 76% of Population. This was also done in a lab study by Balloun, Kristen & Holmes, David in 1979 with no significant differences between examinees with highest and lowest Pd scale scores. David Hammond L. (1980) obtained same results with 100% of guilty psychopaths accurately detected. Patrick & Iacono found no difference in 1989 Raskin & Hare 1978...no significant differences.
